Conference Travel Award
Purpose
ARLIS/NA Ontario, a chapter of ARLIS/NA, annually awards a conference travel
award to a chapter member. The grant is intended to promote
professional development among chapter members and to encourage their
involvement in ARLIS/NA, by defraying the expense of attending ARLIS/NA's
annual conference. The grant is funded through chapter fundraising activities
and is set at $750.00.
Eligibility
All current, paid up members of ARLIS/NA Ontario are eligible for the
grant. Chapter officers, new professionals who have never attended the
ARLIS/NA annual conference, and those who will be participating directly in
conference sessions or who currently volunteer on an ARLIS/NA committee, are
especially encouraged to apply for the grant. The successful applicant
will write for the chapter's web site a brief, one to two page report of
conference activities and experiences, and a report of ARLIS/NA involvement
where applicable. Chapter members who have previously received an
ARLIS/NA Ontario travel award or grant are free to apply again. If no
suitable applications are received, or fundraising does not meet the annual
target, the grant will not be awarded.

Ontario 2008 Conference Travel Award
One Award of $750 CDN will be offered in 2008 by the Ontario Chapter of the
Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA). The award is intended to
promote professional development among chapter members and to
encourage their involvement in ARLIS/NA, by helping to defray the
expense of attending ARLIS/NA's annual conference. The 37th Annual
Conference will be held May 1-5, 2008 in Denver, Colorado For more
